The table had been stored in a sheltered but damp outside area during home renovations and it needed restoration as well as re-sizing to fit a new dining space.
The solid oak table had suffered prominent surface water damage through direct contact with wet items in storage. In addition to requiring the table to be repaired and refinished, the customer wanted it to be shorter.
Reducing the length of the top involved cutting it down and re-creating the housings for the legs. The project also involved removing and adapting the mechanism that provided support for the extension leaf.
Following the completion of the work, the customer also commissioned a matching solid oak bench.
