The customer wanted a farmhouse style table but in dark stained oak rather than the traditional natural pine.
While a typical farmhouse table is constructed with legs that attach to an apron on the underside, an alternative method was chosen to enable efficient construction and easier assembly for the customer.
The table top was fitted with an apron all around, but the legs were mounted directly into the top. In order to make the table convenient to transport and narrow enough to get into the property, the legs were built in two parts – a square and a turned section.

The lower section where the turned portion begins can be twisted off and put back within minutes.

The result was a practical, hardwearing modern take on a farmhouse table.

“We absolutely love the table, it is beautiful. Thank you so much.” – Customer email
